Google TV has been on the market now for 2 months. Whether you're an early adopter and have purchased your own Google TV or aren't quite convinced yet, you've most likely heard about it, seen it, and been somewhat educated on the product. The first reviews of Google TV didn't go so well- many think Google should have waited longer to perfect their interface and worked harder with content partners to receive quality content. However, despite the criticisms, Google is doing something revolutionary and will continue to improve their web TV convergence product everyday.
Today, Google announced its first updates to the platform since release. They have upgraded the Netflix app to search any movie or show in the Netflix streaming catalog. Secondly, in Dual View mode, you can now re-size and move the second window to anywhere on the screen, i.e. watch Conan in a large screen and re-size your twitter feed to a small segment of the right corner. Thirdly, Google created an Android app remote control for Google TV (iPhone app on the way). And lastly, the movie search database shows films from all sources, such as Amazon, live TV, Netflix, and Video On Demand, with complete descriptions of cast members and plot synopsis (much like IMDB).

YouTube Instant
Many of you probably heard about the release of Google Instant this past week, or maybe even just noticed words and key phrases popping up as you typed in your Google Search. Inspired by the idea, 19-year old Stanford University student Feross Aboukhadijeh created YouTube Instant within a few hours. With a simple UI and only the option to start typing, YouTube Instant immediately starts playing the most relevant, popular video according the letters you type.

The hype about YouTube Instant is exciting to see here at 9x9 because the concept revolves around endless Internet video viewing with no clicking, little buffering, and continuous playback.

Cool Channels!
Visit 9x9.tv today to browse newly created channels. There are already hundreds of channels to choose from- and we're just getting started. The great thing about 9x9.tv is, if you're not finding the channel you're looking for, you can create your own. No prior video blogging experience necessary, no film school or editing techniques needed... just you!
If you see a channel that says "Curate me" in the right hand corner, you can take the clips from the current channel and add your own personal touch to enhance the channel by adding other clips from YouTube, your own footage, or user interactivity if you'd like. If you want to start fresh, sign up as a Curator and create a new channel by selecting the clips relevant to your story.
So what are you waiting for? Check out the awesome channels on 9x9.tv today and who knows, you may even add to the collection :)

Create a channel- today!
Calling all Curators...
Looking to use your creativity? Ready to produce your own channel? With the 9x9 Starter Kit and Curator Manual, you can! Download the free Starter Kit on our website, read the short guide on creating a channel in the Curator Manual, and begin scripting your own channel in a matter of minutes.
With the 9x9 Curator Starter Kit, you will learn how to use what we call 9x9Script. The 9x9Script is the text that produces your story for your channel. You choose the video files you want in your story, indicate the sequence in which you would like these videos to be played, and provide user interaction where desired. Once you create a script, you insert it into your 9x9 Player and watch your channel playback immediately.
As we're still in beta phase right now, your channel creation will not go live to a public audience yet. When our 9x9.tv production release becomes available in a few weeks, you will be able to produce channels directly on 9x9.tv (with a head start from using the Starter Kit now) and anyone will be able to subscribe to your channel.
